2007 was been a banner year for Canadian Gaming,
with FanExpo (WSVG & WCG), nDEX (MLG) and
dork celebrating our 4 year anniversary of gaming action!
Time to celebrate!
What were the plans for this special day in dorkLAND?
Well, Halo action of course - all 3 versions from Halo CE to Halo 3!
Over the last 4 years, dork has hosted over 100 events, and our mainstay game has been Halo, so what better way to celebrate our anniversary then with a Halofest!
It was a day of good times, good games, sweet frags and some birthday cake!

Unfortunatly, we at dork have decided to cancel the
November 10th D-Day @ the Gladstone event.
With an extremely hectic October & November for the Canadian gaming community,
we have choosen to cancel the November event to give all you gamers a chance to
stop and catch your breath, and let the game blisters heal!
The General's never stop though...
General's Electric & Error will be headed to Montreal for Festival Arcadia, November 9-11 to continue promoting the Canadian gaming community at this awesome gaming expo!
General Electric will be competing in the finals of the
Canadian Cup - 2K8 Hockey Tournament!
Stepping into the ring and going Pro, Jay will be proving he's got game!

event @ nDEX November 2-4, 2007, and you know there

of dork's in that crowd of gamers!

dork MLG Boot Camp @ Gladstone - Saturday, October 27
** 15 hours of Halo 2 LAN practice scrims in advance of MLG Canadian Open** |
On Saturday October 27, dork
hosted a 15 hour Halo 2 LAN,
to get you all practiced & ready for the MLG Canadian Open!
Doors opened at 11am. At noon we began running a 4v4 Halo 2 tournament, with passes to the upcoming MLG Canadian Open awarded to winning teams! At 3pm, we turned the pits over to YOU, the gamers, for an evening of Halo 2 LAN scrims until 2am, to make sure every team was sharp and ready to represent Canada @ MLG!
The MLG Canadian Open will be held as part of nDEX (Northern Digital Expo)
@ the Direct Energy Centre in Toronto, November 2-4. |
| dork's Climb the CN Tower in support of United Way! |
dork Staff, Gamers & Friends climbed the 1,776 steps of the CN Tower on
Sunday, October 21 to help raise money for the United Way!
The Team DAM climbers had a great time while helping to raise money
for a good cause! Styling in our DAM - Stair Climb shirts, we pwned slow noobs all the way up the tower!
DAM raised $500 for the United Way, to help make a difference
in our communities. The title for fastest climb time went to Mitch aka Major West Coast @ 16:31,
and highest pledge collection went to Steve aka General ERROR!

On Saturday October 13, dork
hosted our monthly Halo LAN gaming event
@ the Gladstone Hotel Art Bar (1214 Queen St. W.)
On top of 24 hours of Halo 1, 2 & 3 LAN action, gamers competed in a 4v4 battle to determine which team would become dork sponsored and make up the 2007 Team DAM!

Comic Books, Anime, Science Fiction, Horror and Gaming. Events include: Guest autograph sessions, Q&A sessions, photo opps, panel
discussions, masquerade, product premieres, video rooms, seminars,

dork also assisted our allies @ WCG Canada with their National Finals for

The CGP 2006 Halo 2 FFA league was a great success,
with MaD MaX dominating
most of the season and destroying the competition in the finals
to take home
the 2006 Canadian Game Pro Series title. Will he repeat this year, or will you stop him?
